Freecom has launched its ultra thin DVD writer, Slimline Mobile DVD RW Recorder LS Pro, which is said to be compatible with both Mac and PC notebooks.

The device measures 1.7 x 14.4 x 14 cm which is small enough to get fit into your pocket, and it weighs 600g only.

It has both USB 2.0 and Firewire connections to connect it to both Mac and PC notebooks, further, it can burn up to 8.5 GB of data, including, images or other multimedia files.

The device is crammed in a light but robust aluminum casing, exhibiting a stylish outlook, and it can be connected to the notebooks without shutting the systems down.

The devices bundles with Roxio and Toast Software, and a free five-pack of CD-R LightScribe media, moreover, it is covered with a two year warranty and an unlimited customer support for its users.

It can read and write DVDs, including, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD ROMs, at an amazing speed of 24x, and it can deliver up to 4x speeds for a dual layered DVD + R disc.
